Owl Watch

I spent last night sitting in Tryon Creek Park, watching a nesting pair of barred owls while the sun slipped beneath the horizon and the forest settled into darkness. It was incredibly peaceful; after a while I began to feel like part of the forest, and when I left it was like I took the stillness of the woods with me. Is there a better form of meditation?
